Movie CampThe T Tauri Movie Camp takes its name from the astronomer's term for a new star. For 10 years, the annual summer program has provided the instruction, encouragement, and collaborative environment needed to launch young video artists into the exciting world of video production. New workshop offerings are introduced each year and have included Script to Screen Narrative Filmmaking, Community Documentary Filmmaking, Hand-Drawn and Claymation Stop Motion Animation, Acting on Camera, and Final Cut Pro Editing Workflow.

T Tauri workshops range in length from 2 to 4 days. Movie Camp is not a residential program, but students and their parents or chaperones may take advantage of a great "T Tauri rate" offered by our partner hotel, Comfort Suites of Batesville. Comfort Suites offers an in-door pool and hot tub, exercise room, and free breakfast. The T Tauri rate is $80 (for 2 people) or $85 (for up to 4 people) and the deadline to receive the special rate is July 1.

The T Tauri experience includes an Official T Tauri t-shirt, a DVD of all the movies made at camp in the current year, and a Finale Screening. The Finale Screening is where it all comes together--with a public viewing of the Movie Camp productions on the final day of camp. Workshops take place at the Landers Theater Building in downtown Batesville and on the campus of the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville. The location for each workshop can be found on the 2014 Schedule page.
