High school students from the Lyon College APPLE project are currently participating in a T Tauri Community Documentary Filmmaking workshop, taught by T Tauri faculty member Nicki Newburger of Memphis and festival president Bob Pest. The group, which meets on 10 Saturdays over the school year, includes Rachel Braim of Marcella, Hannah McGough of Floral, Whitney Hembrey of Newark and Gage Davidson and Brianna Combs of Tuckerman. They are developing, writing, and shooting a film about teens in small rural communities and how they spend their Saturdays. The film will premiere at the 2008 T Tauri Film Festival.
