T Tauri Film Festival Seeks Entries to

The 2nd Annual Young Movie Critic Competition

People who are passionate about the movies often end up writing about them. What a gig, getting paid to watch movies and interview stars! If you like writing movie reviews, or essays about the classics, the stars, or the great directors, it’s time to take the next step and share your work by entering the T Tauri Young Movie Critic Competition. You can enter a school assignment or something you wrote on your own. There is no entry fee. The best entries will be posted on the T Tauri Galaxy, www.ttauri.org/galaxy.

 

The world is waiting to hear what YOU think about the movies.

 

 

Competition winner receives an original "T Tauri," a hand-thrown ceramic trophy, designed and created by Mountain View Pottery.

 

 

 

 

 

 

ENTRY GUIDELINES

  • Submissions must be postmarked by April 1, 2009.

  • Submissions must be written by youth in grades 6 through 12.

  • Submissions must have been written in the past year (between April 2008 and April 2009) and not previously submitted to the T Tauri Film Festival.

  • Submissions may be submitted in hard copy (NOT hand written) or as digital files sent on CD or via email.

  • Submissions must be 250 words or more in length.

  • Submissions should be carefully proofread for correct grammas, punctuation, and spelling.

  • Submissions must be titled.

  • A completed and signed Entry Form should be submitted for each written submission. All entry form information will be kept confidential. Only the names and ages of the writers will appear in the program and on the website.

  • Submissions must be the writer's sole, original, and authentic work.

  • Submissions must be appropriate for a youth audience, in terms of language and content.

  • The T Tauri Film Festival and Ozark Foothills FilmFest, Inc., their governing board, employees, volunteers, partners, or sponsors do not assume responsibility for any complaints, judgments, losses, expenses, or attorney's fees arising in connection with any and all claims based on written material you are submitting to the T Tauri Film Festival.

NOTIFICATION

 

You will notified by July 1, 2009 if your submission is the recipient of the Young Movie Critics Award or has been selected to be published on the T Tauri Galaxy.

 

TO ENTER YOUR REVIEW OR ESSAY

 

1.  Read the Entry Guidelines to confirm that you are eligible and understand the contest rules.

 

2.  Open and print an entry form (one for each submission). Click below for the form of your choice:

Entry forms must be printed and typed or hand-written; they cannot be completed online.

 

3.  Complete and sign the appropriate form and have it signed by a parent or guardian.

 

4.  Send a copy of your submission, with the completed and signed entry form, to the following address by April 1, 2009 (postmark deadline):
