"BEST OF THE T TAURI FILM FESTIVAL"

Each summer Batesville’s T Tauri Film Festival recognizes and celebrates young filmmakers with a national youth filmmaking competition. In 2009, 143 films from 23 states were entered in the competition. Competition categories include comedies, dramas, documentaries, public service announcements, animation, and experimental films. The “Best of the T Tauri Film Festival” touring program brings the most accomplished of the submissions to your school or youth group. Programs can be individually designed to meet your interests and time frame (usually from 50 to 90 minutes). Most programs include the best films from the most recent year of the competition, some T Tauri classics from the previous years' competitions, and workshop films created in the T Tauri Movie Camp. A print program, press release, and promotional flyer are provided. T Tauri award winners and workshop films have been screened on AETN and at the Little Rock and Indie Memphis film festivals. Support for bringing “The Best of the T Tauri Film Festival” to your school or community is available to schools and non-profit organizations from the Arkansas Arts Council Arts on Tour Grant Program.
