Community Documentary Filmmaking
Bring your world into focus!
The Community Documentary Filmmaking Workshop
focuses on community filmmaking--creating documentaries about the
people, history, landscape, challenges, and
opportunities that are special about your town or neighborhood. Documentary
filmmaker Tom Hansell will supply you with the tools and skills
you'll need to tell your story:
basic cinematography, camera
operation, story development, interviewing techniques, sound
recording, and editing.
Your movie will be shown at the T Tauri Film Festival Finale
Screening on Saturday
evening, July 26. Students who have their own cameras are
encouraged to bring them.
The registration deadline for the Community
Documentary Filmmaking Workshop is June 30, 2008.

WORKSHOP INFORMATION:
For students entering grades 9-12
Maximum enrollment: 10

Student to instructor ratio: 5 to 1
DATES AND TIMES:
Monday-Friday, July 14-18, 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM
LOCATION:
Arkansas Sheriffs' Youth Ranch
Batesville, Arkansas
COST:
$100, includes all equipment and supplies, an
official T Tauri Film Festival t-shirt, admission to the July 26
Young Filmmaker Competition Awards Ceremony, and a DVD of the
movie produced in the workshop. Students provide their own brown
bag lunches and beverages.

1. Print and complete a
Registration Form.
2. Print and have your
parent or guardian complete a Risk and Consent Form.
3. Mail both forms, along with
the $100 workshop fee, to:

A registration confirmation will be
mailed to the person whose signature appears on the completed Risk and Consent
Form.
Cancellations received on or
before June 15, 2008 will qualify for a full refund, minus a $10 cancellation
fee. Refunds cannot be issued for cancellations received after June 15, 2008.
