Motion
It All Starts with the
Words
In this brand new T
Tauri workshop, you'll use a poem you write or pick out as the
words for a video that you and your team will create in three
workshop sessions!
If you like poetry AND
movies, think how much fun you'll have making a movie using the
words and ideas of a poem. First you'll choose a poem, looking for one
that has a simple story or a clear message. Your team might even
decide to write your own. Then you'll decide what kinds of video
images, sounds, and music will match the words and bring the poem alive!
You'll film the images
with a camcorder and decide how to connect them together. You'll
also get to speak the words of the poem for the video--this is
called voice acting--and decide if you want to add music, still
photos, or words that appear on the screen. Your finished movie
will be shown
at the T Tauri Film Festival Finale
Screening on Saturday
evening, July 31. Students who have their own camcorders are
encouraged to bring them.

COST:
$40, includes all equipment and supplies, an
official T Tauri Film Festival t-shirt, admission to the July 31
Young Filmmaker Competition Awards Ceremony, and a DVD of your
workshop footage.
REGISTRATION:
1. Print and complete a
Registration Form.
2. Print and have your
parent or guardian complete a Risk and Consent Form.
3. Mail both forms, along with
the $40 workshop fee, to:

A registration confirmation will be
mailed to the adult whose signature appears on the completed Risk and Consent
Form.
Cancellations received on or
before June 20, 2010 will qualify for a full refund, minus a $10 cancellation
fee. Refunds cannot be issued for cancellations received after June 20, 2010.
