Script to
Screen Narrative Filmmaking Workshop
Tell YOUR Stories, YOUR
Way

Whether you're interested in filmmaking as a
career, or you're just looking for a new challenge, the
Script to Screen Workshop will help get you in the game. Working in teams
with others who have your level of experience and training, this
3 1/2-day workshop lets you experience the entire movie
making process. You'll begin with pre-production (coming up with
an idea, writing a script, assembling equipment and props,
organizing and scheduling the production), move on to production
(directing, acting, shooting, sound recording) and post-production
(editing, creating titles, adding music), and conclude with a
premiere public screening of your movie.
Students who have their own cameras are encouraged to bring them.
You may also bring a story or story idea for a short film. Keep
in mind that the film will be under 10 minutes long and will be
made in three and a half days, so your story should be tell-able
in 3 or 4 scenes. Your story should not include any violent
acts--if a violent act is central to the story, it must be
referred to and not take place on-screen.
The registration deadline is July
10, 2010.
