Acting on Camera

CAMERA READY!

Students with an interest in acting and in directing actors will be drawn to Acting on Camera where they will explore how acting for film requires an emotional and technical transition from theater acting. You'll learn that, because film captures the smallest gesture and magnifies it, cinema demands a less flamboyant bodily performance from the the actor. As exercises and scenes are being filmed, you'll be able to watch playback with the instructor, receive coaching, and make immediate adjustments to your performance.

Cold readings, scenes, and improv exercises will be taped and edited into a compilation reel that will be shown at the Movie Camp Finale on Saturday, July 28. The tuition for Acting on Camera is $60. Go to "At a Glance" for dates and times, location, and other information. The workshop will be taught by Warren McCullough, actor and owner of Warren McCullough Studio in Little Rock.
